Beginning next month more cruise passengers than ever are expected to depart from Philadelphia. In 2005, Philadelphia will host 32 cruises to Bermuda, Canada/New England, and one to the Caribbean on the newly restructured Enchantment Of The Seas. This is up from 22 cruises in 2004.
Over $16 million in business revenue in 2004 was attributed to cruise passengers. In the last 3 years the port has gone from 30,000 passengers to 60,000 passengers, and in 2005 roughly 92,000 passengers will be coming in and out of Philadelphia. The cruise season starts April 24th and runs through the end of October.
