Seven of Celebrity Cruise Line's ships are ranked in the top 11 in the Conde Nast Travelers annual ranking of the "Best Cruise Ships in the World". The results of the annual survey were published in the February 2005 edition. Infinity and Constellation ranked first and second, respectively, bettering their scores of 2004, which were then the highest in the history of the survey. Mercury, Summit and Galaxy ranked fourth, fifth and sixth, Millennium ranked ninth, and Century 11th. The balance of Celebrity's fleet -- the 1,354-guest Horizon and Zenith -- were among those honored in the medium-ship category.

Themed Bermuda cruises from Boston
For 2005, Norwegian Cruise Lines is offering a series of new themed 7-day cruises from Boston to Bermuda aboard Norwegian Majesty. They call them the "Patriots to Parliment" cruises. The themes include Mother's Day, bingo, Bermuda art, Father's Day, just-out-of-school, Portuguese Festival, Kids Star Seeker, Bermuda wildlife expert, cooking class, fitness and more.

Seven Seas Navigator at the Super Bowl
The Radisson Seven Seas Navigator, which sails from Norfolk and New York to Bermuda, is one of 5 cruise ships docked in Jacksonville to provide lodging for people attending the Super Bowl. (For our international readers -- the Super Bowl is the championship game of the American football season). Because of the shortage of hotel rooms — Jacksonville is the smallest city to host a Super Bowl — five cruise ships on the St. Johns River are serving as floating hotels for NFL corporate guests. The lack of luxury hotel rooms was the greatest obstacle the city faced when it presented its bid to host the Super Bowl. The city was able to convince a first-skeptical NFL with its cruise ship proposal, which added the equivalent of 3,667 floating hotel rooms, housing about 6,400.
